***it's been a while since i updated,and i haven't uploaded a fat lot,but i've been pretty busy with presentations and printing/annotating god knows how many pages for my 'how the hell am i going to get a bloody job' folder for uni.


ANYWAY...we've had to decide which area we want to go into when we leave,so i picked fine art photography as really i can wander into any other areas,and i can get lots of photoshopping in too bought myself a holga,though i am yet to use up a film as i keep forgetting to pick the bloody thing up T__T


i'm off to florida at the end of june for two weeks for my 21st birthday,wahhhooooo!!!

I haven't updated this for a while,and to be honest I haven't had a fat lot of work to put up...but! over the next two weeks I'll be doing my images for my current project,which is a narrative of life and death...hmm...anyone wanna be my corpse for an hour?

No festivals for me this year...well,maybe download if I can get the money together,and most likely the local folk festivals,but to be honest... I'm just not into it this year.The idiots at Reading last year have really put me off,and the prices are more than ridiculous.

Had a trip to Wales with uni,though I hardly took any photos as everywhere they took us was so...obvious? If I never see another waterfall again it will be too soon.I guess I was just treating it as a chance to refresh myself from stinky Birmingham.It was a nice trip though,laughing with my best uni buds,getting to know the rest better,and some of them really are lovely!

...and on a last note,if you've never checked out Shugo Tokumaru or Mumford and Sons,you really need to.They are so great! Kind of folk-ish I guess.I heart them They both have myspace so go! go! go!

Back to uni on monday for another ten million projects all thrown at us at once and then all the lectures cancelled.Uni is not what i thought it would be.

New ringtone is causing trouble,it's the opening from the first series of bleach,but i can't help but listen to the song and end up missing the call >whoops< It's nice to see where all the fellow geeks on the bus are sitting though,their heads whipping round when i get a call ^^ And it's something to go with my Final Fantasy text message tone...

Back to uni on Monday *sniff* We have to decide which area of photography we want to go into but I just can't decide...
- Commercial is obviously going to be the easiest to get into and have the most going on,but I've just never really got into it.
- Fashion is fun,but I don't think it's my best,and I hate all the stick thin models and shallow-ness.
- Documentary is ok,but it's just one fairy step away from paparazzi,and I am NOT going down that road!
- On the other hand,I love using Photoshop and airbrushing is meant to be mega well paid,but should I have gone into graphics if I prefer that? I'm so CONFUSED!!

Work = ridiculous,but at the moment everywhere is trying to get rid of staff rather than taking them on,so I really can't afford to lose my job.Just gotta keep marching on I guess.

On the bright side,Dan and I celebrated our third year together,and the presentation I was dreading actually went really,really well and I got an ace mark.I want more presentations on Akira!!

Things are picking up :]

Managed to get most of uni under control,and am actually looking forward to my shoot!
Got three models raring to go,make up and hair sorted and someone coming down from Manchester to do wardrobe.

Also,the ever awesome is helping me with test shots and general flash-gun-holding because shes lovely like that!
Studio is all booked and ready,wahoo!

Only thing to sort out now is work.Seriously need a new job.

Picture this: The kids are off school,the restaurant is next to a 12 screen cinema,High School Musical 3 has just been released and it's Orange Wednesdays-thats two for one on cinema tickets.

Now realise the restaurant is full,the buffet is on (always manical),there's a huge queue at the door,there are 3 people waiting on tables rather than 6,and only one person taking out food,cleaning and setting new tables,and sitting people down.
And you're on a 12-9.30 shift.
And the manager is bragging that he's managed to save 96 hours wages this week.

Not. Fun.

But at least my bank balance is thanking me!
